Job Description:

Actively involved in the design, coding, testing and maintenance of software components throughout the software development life cycle.  Participates in discussions on requirements analysis, system architecture, code quality, and change management controls.  Writes and test code from general specification; works with other team members to deliver fully functional and tested software for customers.  Responds to field issues escalated from Technical Support.  Works semi-independently and be able to estimate development effort, plan coding tasks and meet set objectives for delivery. 

General Requirements:

• BA or BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or MIS or 5-10 years comparable work experience
• Experience in Java, SQL, Transact-SQL, XML, HTML, C#, C++, C programming languages
• Knowledge of SQL 2005/2008 or Oracle
• Knowledgeable in Java Server pages (JSP)
• Excellent object oriented design and programming skills
• Knowledge of Ext JS a plus.
• Knowledge of reporting technologies; SQL Reporting Services, Visual Mining, JReport, MicroStrategy, or equivalent a must.
• Data warehouse and data mining design experience required.  IBM Cognos or equivalent experience a plus.    
• Knowledge of SCRUM development methodologies a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  Prior experience leading software development teams a must.  
• Very detailed oriented and organized
• Self starter and able to produce innovative solutions for general software development problems.

The successful candidate will possess the ability to become rapidly familiar with the proprietary application and produce quality code.
