The long and short of it is that managing telecom expenses requires a highly specialized and broad spectrum of knowledge if you were to tackle it manually. Do you have someone at your company with a firm grasp of corporate finance, IT, telecom services, service providers’ billing procedures, and internal processes? It would help if this person(s) also knows how to interpret contracts, escalate disputes, and negotiate resolution of claims.
Ok, so my point is that you NEED technology to manage Telecom expenses because you can’t change the fact that they are the most complicated to manage. Not to beat a dead horse, but unless you have some seriously stellar resources with tons of free time to manually yet comprehensively handle rate plan optimization, usage management, cost allocation chargebacks, inventory, contracting for services, service order activity, invoice processing, expense validation and dispute resolution, etc., then talk to us about putting some technology in place!
