Telecom Expense Management Leader Achieves Record Growth: 55 Percent in Business Process Outsourcing Revenue, 40 Percent in Mobility Business Revenue
Phoenix, Ariz. (February 3, 2010) — Telesoft, trusted experts in fixed and mobile telecom expense management (TEM) software and services, today announced steady growth and continued profitability over the last year. In 2009, despite a turbulent economic environment, Telesoft demonstrated remarkable strength, generating substantial growth in both business process outsourcing (BPO), with an overall increase of 55 percent, and wireless expense management, with an increase of 40 percent. This further demonstrates Telesoft’s long-term commitment and leadership in helping large corporations manage sky-rocketing telecom costs.
“Our growth over the past year is a direct reflection of the increased emphasis corporations are placing on managing telecom costs along with our ability to deliver superior products and services that meet the specific telecom management needs of our growing customer base,” said Thierry Zerbib, chief executive officer of Telesoft. “Last year, more than ever before, enterprises were looking for unified TEM solutions that could dramatically reduce spending on fixed and mobile telecom expenses. I’m proud that we’ve built a platform that enables companies to reduce their telecom spend by up to 30 percent.”
Fixed and mobile telecom services typically represent four percent of a company’s revenue. On average, about twenty-six percent of those costs are erroneous or could be avoided. Telesoft’s customers last year were able to save millions in telecom costs by using Telesoft’s integrated management platform. Telesoft automates the TEM lifecycle – from management of telecom invoices, usage, and cost allocation, through provisioning and inventory – to lower telecom expenses and improve efficiencies.
Industry Recognition
Last year also brought industry recognition for Telesoft, with the Association of Telecom Management Professionals (AOTMP) naming Telesoft a finalist for the TEM Innovation of the Year award. In addition, Coca Cola Enterprises, a Telesoft customer, was chosen as a finalist for Enterprise Wireless Mobility Management (WMM) Project of the Year. Management
Also in 2009, Telesoft expanded its executive team. By growing its management team with industry luminaries, Telesoft bolstered its status as a leading provider of telecom expense management solutions. In January 2009, Kevin Donoghue was named president of Telesoft. Donoghue brings more than twenty years of management experience and a proven track record of building successful companies in the enterprise software industry. Jay Lockett, Telesoft’s new vice president of engineering, has more than ten years of experience in software systems development and information technology. Lockett is responsible for Telesoft’s product and technology development including engineering, quality assurance and documentation. Also joining the Telesoft team in 2009 was Heather Dunn, a marketing director with more than ten years of industry experience. Together these executives bring successful management, strategic and technology experience to Telesoft.
